Long and Sweet

After having a few horrible weeks of long efforts I finally had a good one today. After yesterday's run I was a bit worried about having two good days in a row. Well, I managed to do that and made the 2 hour effort worth while.
Our group 5 strong ran out from Jeremy's to Gary-Duluth and over the Oliver bridge to WI and made the turn at one hour. It was nice to have pavement for most of the duration and the lower pace showed the advantage. It's always nice when you can make it two hours and have to hold back from running too hard. Sweet Jesus!! A super way to end the week.
We got more snow today so the trails will be shit again for a few days. I may venture in a little tomorrow morning just to check them out.

Totals: 2:00:00 16 miles

Weeks Totals: 56 miles (6 runs)
Years Totals: 275.3 miles

Hi Gregg,
I am just a little jealous of the....running for two hours and feeling like you have to hold back comment:) So, what exactly does that feel like? Good job, I am glad that you had a nice run!!

For me this has been a long time coming. I haven't felt like that since last November prior to the marathon I ran.
It is a good feeling when you can go out and knock off a 2 hour run and not even think about it. It just takes a bit of time to work up to it.
When you run a marathon, the training will work up to this point i'm sure.
Cheers
