One Last 40 Workout

This morning I made my way to the Lakewalk and Scenic 61 to do a series of fartlek intervals at an estimated pace just under 10K. (still no Garmin)
The workout went like this. 18 minute warmup then 5 X 5 minutes at ~10K pace with 3 minutes recovery. I was toast after the last interval. I seemed to max out the energy for the morning and had what I call a very good workout.

This was my last workout at age 40. Yep, another trip around the sun come tomorrow!

Total:
1:20:00 11.5 miles with intervals

Hi Gregg,
Yes, I know I have been a stranger lately. Thanks for the comment.

I have taken some time off of running and blogging. Life throws us challenges sometimes and I think I just needed something in my life to give. Do you remember way back last year when everything was all rainbows and sunshine for me with my running? I remember you told me that I might experience a runners funk and maybe not feel the passion at some point. Boy, you were not kidding! After my marathon I lost so much energy and just felt like it was taking forever to spring back. Over the winter I hardly ran at all. This spring has been slow too. I am running in the Lake Minnetonka half tomorrow. Seriously, I am not ready. I am jogging it and treating it like a training run....just want to cross the finish line in one piece.

I like the new picture you have on your header. A few weeks ago I stopped by your blog and started to comment but someone asked me a question at work and I had to stop. I hope that things are going well for you. I am sure your running is going fantastic...sounds like you are doing well.

Are you planning on running Grandma's this year? I am running the half. Let me know what your plans are. I plan on watching the marathoners finish. If it works out and if you run I would really like to meet you. I know that you are a private person and respect that. But...I still want to meet you:) Just saying...

Take care of yourself Gregg.
